Travel Industry Sales Support/Sales Representative (Ontario, Manitoba, BC)

Working our of the Toronto head office, this hybrid position is responsible for growing the travel agency revenues from the provinces of Ontario, British Columbia, and Manitoba. This experienced, results oriented individual will use their network and knowledge of the industry to create new revenue opportunities for the business while managing and maintaining the existing relationships within member agency partners.
This role will require the individual to balance periodic in-person sales calls to partner agencies along with ongoing in-house sales support to their territory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining and growing defined territory via in-person, virtual sales calls, and email support as required
- Provides inside sales support to the travel industry, inclusive of handling all requests via an online customer service desk
- Participates at industry events, tradeshows or other activities as deemed appropriate
- Some travel to BC and/or Manitoba may be required, along with territory visits within Ontario
- Coordinates the implementation of preferred travel agency partner programs
- Maintains a current up to date travel agency database by geographic area
- Maintains and administers the travel agent Free Day program including any other incentive/commission type program
- Responsible for the deployment of seasonal coupon runs and e-coupons as needed
- Supports the regular update of a travel industry newsletter deployed to existing travel agent database
- May coordinate other administrative activities or provides support to the sales team, as deemed appropriate or required per the sales manager
- Other related duties may include conducting background sales research, liaising between field sales representatives and internal operations personnel, and assisting sales and marketing personnel on projects and assignments
Skills & Requirements:
- Business/ Marketing/Travel and Tourism post-secondary education
- 3- 5 years of direct work experience
- Knowledge of the tourism industry would be an asset
- Previous experience in a sales or marketing coordinator role would be beneficial
- Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office products) is an asset
- Must own a car and hold a clean and valid driving license, and be willing to travel domestically, as required
